Master Scheduler

You are a person with a strong work ethic who is looking to build a career as a Master Scheduler with a leading innovator and manufacturer of Turbo Expander technology.

This role will be a key member of the operations planning group, aggregating and disseminating information to and from almost all areas of the organization to support the most efficient and effective usage of resources in pursuit of on-budget and on-time delivery performance.

Compensation:

The compensation (range) for this position is $90,854 to $125,465 annually depending on skill. What you will own & improve:

  1. Project Initiation:You will review the scope of new project opportunities and evaluate against the current sales and operations plan to propose timely and attainable delivery lead times.
  2. Project Planning:You will utilize developed standards to configure new projects composed of work break down structures, networks of activities, and referenced bills of materials. You will support further development and refinement of these standards over time as our needs and knowledge evolve.
  3. Project Execution / Monitoring:In support of your master production schedule, you will plan and maintain projects composed of networks of activities (durations and relationships), monitor and report status/progress of those networks of activities, anticipate and support resolution of capacity/load constraints, and monitor and report hours/materials budget progress.
  4. Project Troubleshooting:When unplanned events force a reevaluation of a project, you will analyze impacts to the master production schedule and propose a best plan for recovery.
  5. Project Changes:You will process and support resolution of sales order scope changes.

What you already know:

  1. Innate ability to build working relationships with individuals from the shop floor level to engineering and project management.
  2. You possess exceptional computer aptitude and expertise.
  3. You've worked on Enterprise Resource Programs (ERP)/Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems before, preferably SAP.
  4. You've worked with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programs before, preferably Enovia.
  5. You've worked with design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  6. You have a familiarity of enterprise elements and interactions related to business areas, products, customers, suppliers and manufacturing.
  7. You thrive with tasks requiring thorough and thoughtful work where the details are critical to validation of the overall plan.

What you will learn (if you don't know already):

  1. Experience in identifying, assessing, and overcoming practical challenges in a concurrent design and manufacturing environment.
  2. Exposure to an engineer-to-order environment, SAP ERP/MRP, Enovia Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), internal MediaWiki documentation and a tight-knit collaborative working environment.
  3. Planning, scheduling, and reporting experience.

  1. Maintaining minimal process backlog.
  2. Maintaining a pulse on the various disciplines in the facility and project specific activities.
  3. Achieving common goals by actively supporting other team members as needed.
  4. Maintaining working relationships and open channels of communication with shop floor, engineering, and management.
  5. To go above and beyond: Questioning status quo, identifying areas for improvement, and executing improvement ideas.
