Kick-off your career at Selective Insurance by joining our award-winning Ignite Internship program at our regional office in Hunt Valley, MD. The Ignite Internship Program is an 11-week, full-time experience that offers a sneak peek into the world of insurance. Level up your skills and knowledge by diving into your business area of choice. Throughout the program, you'll get a feel for the corporate environment with on-the-job assignments, team projects, exposure to senior leadership & executives, and even a community volunteer day. As an Underwriting Intern, you'll have a chance to build your business acumen by supporting the underwriting department's growth and profitability goals, making meaningful contributions to the business. Underwriting involves assessing risks and determining the terms of insurance policies, making it a critical function in the financial industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop analytical skills and gain insights into risk management, which are highly valued in many career paths. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs. Pay Range USD $19.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.
