The Humanities Department at the Long Island Campus of New York Institute of Technology (New York Tech) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Technical Communication and/or Composition, starting in Fall 2025. We seek a dynamic scholar who can engage students across disciplines and contribute innovative research in the fields of composition, technical communication, or medical writing. The successful candidate will teach a 3/3 course load, with opportunities for release time for scholarship or administrative roles. In addition to teaching, the candidate will play a key role in designing a soon-to-be-proposed major in Writing and Technical Communication, providing a unique opportunity to shape the program's vision from the ground up. Teaching introductory and advanced courses in Tech Comm, Professional Writing and related topics.
The position is based at the Long Island campus, with potential teaching opportunities at the New York City campus and online, offering flexibility in course delivery. Qualifications
