ORC is seeking a full-time, Accounting Coordinator based out of Charlotte, NC.The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule but must reside within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte, NC and be able to report to the Charlotte, NC office 1-2 times per week. What you will be doing: As an Accounting Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. Candidate will play a critical role in supporting the accounting team with a focus on AP, AR, cash management, and financial statement reconciliations. This includes managing receivables, monitoring outstanding balances, keeping cash flow moving smoothly, performing balance sheet account reconciliations and helping prepare financial statements that tell the full story. The selected candidate will work with members of the accounting team tostreamline workflows and ensure our accounting processes are as efficient as possible. We are looking for someone who:
Bonus Points if you have knowledge of bookkeeping, financial income statement preparation, budget forecasting, variance analysis. working knowledge of the AASHTO Audit Guidelines for federally funded contracts and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or can demonstrateproficiency in automated job cost accounting and project management similar to Vision, Vantagepoint, Sema 4, Wind2, Timberline, BST, Great Plains, MAS 90 or Axium. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with members which involves time driving.
