SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op - Summer 2025 . This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Toledo office each day. Position open to our Columbus, OH, Brentwood, TN, or Midland, MI office locations.

The ideal candidate should be able to complete a minimum of 2 full-time, alternating co-op rotations in the office where they are being hired for prior to their graduation.



Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

    Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
  • Completed some course in their chemical or mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Apply knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics to perform engineering tasks.
  • Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
  • Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
  • Occasional local travel may required for client visits.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.


Qualifications

  • Students must be enrolled in a co-op program at an ABET accredited engineering school majoring in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or technically related discipline.
  • Second or third academic year preferred.
  • Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.
