Overview

The Sales Director I will oversee the Program Directors and be responsible for driving sales opportunities, managing strategic clients, and leading priority pursuits for the Transportation team based in Ohio. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, strategic planning, and client relationship building.



Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

    Manage and mentor Program Directors to achieve sales targets and professional growth.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of the sales team. This includes identifying training needs, providing coaching, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
  • Formulate and articulate a clear vision for the sales team, aligning it with the company's overall goals. This involves setting long-term objectives and creating a roadmap to achieve them
  • Leading through change is crucial. The Director should be adept at guiding the team through market shifts, organizational changes, and new strategic directions.

Sales Opportunities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with business objectives and the VS3.

Client Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention through effective account management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns.

Priority Pursuits:

  • Lead and coordinate efforts for high-priority sales pursuits.
  • Develop customized proposals and presentations for strategic opportunities.
  • Track and report on the progress of priority pursuits to senior management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in management, with a focus on strategic clients and high-value opportunities.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
