Senior Programmer Analyst

Our Senior Programmer Analysts perform complex analysis in the development, design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of computer systems used to collect, manage, monitor and store data in support of business requirements. This role, under general supervision, performs a variety of highly skilled, complex and specialized professional work in the analysis, programming, testing, implementing, and maintenance of computer systems; provides technical and end-user support for all aspects of computing needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key business and information technology stakeholders to develop application architecture to improve business processes, drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Work with internal customers to foster and grow the company's adoption of technology to optimize standard work and enable data driven decisions.
  • Has a thorough understanding of the business process and flow to enable functional requirements analysis and the development of solutions for the business functions.
  • Deliver and maintain applications consistent with company Enterprise platforms, architectures and environments.
  • Develop application systems that are cost effective and flexible in design.
  • Manage daily application health, including system uptime, responsiveness, break/fix issues and approved requests.
  • Provide technical support as a member of the Application Help Desk in an on-call rotation
  • Use knowledge to support the corporate and business unit's IT and business strategies.
  • Work with the business unit and enterprise community to anticipate future information needs and incorporate them into the design process.
  • Understand and can demonstrate key concepts related to SDLC in both custom applications and third-party software applications
  • Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements, prepare work flow charts and diagrams
  • Apply advanced programming skills in SQL, PHP, Visual Basic & RPG
  • Utilize project tracking tools, change control process tools, help desk management tools and project management dashboard on a daily basis
  • Support and maintain ERP solutions and third-party application software and development tools
  • Coach and mentor other developers and analysts on best practice and development fundamentals.
  • Learn and communicate new and improved ways to better the systems we manage.
  • Lead medium and large programming projects.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation and usage of third-party software systems applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in a field such as Computer Science, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, and/or 5 plus years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Infor XA ERP is required.
  • Experience with Paper-Less MES, Varsity, Avalara, Formtastic or TL Ashford a plus

Travel

Up to 10% is required for this position
