PRIMARY FUNCTION The L4 Designer role requires an individual with passions for collaboration, critical thinking, professional-growth, and great design, with an interest to work across one or more market sections including Mission Critical, Healthcare, Housing, PreK-12 schools, Higher Education and Science and Technology. The candidate excels within a hybrid work environment, is nimble and enjoys applying his/her/their talents through all phases of the project, from the earliest stages of a project's development through construction administration. The ideal candidate has at least eight years related work experience with strong Revit skills, has project leadership experience as a project architect on small and medium size projects and is comfortable working on multiple projects when necessary. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for building system concepts and documentation process from schematics through construction administration phases within the discipline and in alignment with the design intent.
- Function as discipline team leader on small and medium sized, complex projects when assigned.
- Responsible for overseeing project team members within the discipline when assigned.
- Prepare and monitor project status reports.
- Prepare and document required code research for project.
- Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
- Attend project meetings, as necessary.
- Interface and collaborate with other discipline team leaders.
- Interface with client team members.
- Document interpretation and submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration.
- Lead technical reviews in accordance with the HED Design Process
- Work closely with authorities having jurisdiction to secure approvals.
- Monitor staff to produce quality architectural and engineering services within a project team concept.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degree
- Licensure or pursuit of licensure preferred.
- LEED Accredited preferred.
- Minimum eight years' experience in A/E industry preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
- A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Possess the ability to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignments.
- Proficient in BIM/Revit as well as Microsoft Word, Excel
- Required.
- Experience in Revizto, Rhino, Bluebeam, Concept Board preferred
- Robust design and graphic skills preferred.
- Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
- Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capable of traveling to and from project sites to attend client, project, and construction meetings.
- Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation, and evaluation purposes.
- Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
- Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
