Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Mail Processor

Location: On-Site, West Plains, MO

Hourly Pay: $16

This position is bonus eligible

Work Schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm CST

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Billing - Revenue Cycle - Mail Processor works within the Posting and Processing Team to ensure incoming mail is uploaded to the appropriate account and/or forwarded to the correct department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Open and sort incoming mail received from the post office.
• Ensure patient account number is present on each document.
• Utilize billing software to determine correct patient account number if missing.
• Scan and upload documents to document management program for retention and review.
• Process incoming electronic faxes.
• Assign and forward documents meant for other departments with accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

• 6 months data entry experience with an emphasis on 10-key use
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Proficient in basic computer commands such as Copy, Cut, Paste, Select All

Preferred Experience:

• 6 months working in a mail room setting
• Experience with Respond Billing / Sweet
• Experience with SharePoint
• Proficient in keyboard hot keys (e.g. Ctrl + C to Copy)

Preferred Education:

• High school diploma
• GED
• Or significant, relevant work experience
