Description: 100% Remote This is SAN Storage Administrator position requiring a minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have strong SAN storage and Veritas Cluster System (VCS) support skills. Candidate must have strong communication and documentation skills. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Responsibilities: This position is in 24 x 7x 365 environments for a large IT infrastructure, working days, some nights and weekends for production changes. Expertise in: Infoscale 7.4.2, 8. * - Administers high-availability clusters running Veritas Infoscale. - VXVM/VXFS Storage/Filesystem. - Daily Systems Administration. - User administration. (setuser). - SAN replication. The successful candidate would expect to assist in incident/change management/closure, and the ability to plan and execute changes using the documented process. Experience Requirements: Technical Skills and product knowledge requirements: At least 10 years of prior SAN Storage Technologies (SAN Connectivity, allocation/deallocation of storage). * VCS experience. * RHEL 7/8 familiarity. * Solaris 11.4. * Sshd configuration/cron job familiarity. * BMC Remedy and Service NOW understanding/familiarity. * VMWare/Vcenter for RHEL VM management. * LDOMS configuration familiarity. * ZFS/VDEVS familiarity. Other Skills: Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows. Tripwire IDS familiarity. * BladeLogic Server Management familiarity. * Process-driven environment - Change Management. * Ansible familiarity. * Sendmail familiarity. * Ability to work with shell and perl scripts. * Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. * Critical thinking skills Professional communication skills both written and verbal. * Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills. * Professional, responsible attitude and work independently. * Extensive written documentation (processes, user guides). * Ability to work with remote, matrixed teams. * Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients. |
