Position Summary The Data Analytics Manager oversees the Bank's data program and other sources of business intelligence that drive the Bank's business operations. Provides leadership, management, and strategic direction for the team, ensuring the achievement of established bank, customer service, and employee satisfaction goals. The following duties are intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Data Analytics Department in delivering a broad spectrum of data services, including research, data analytics, business intelligence, report authoring, and consulting. Utilize tools like Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to create user-friendly dashboards and integrate data workflows efficiently.
- Design and implement modern data architectures, including data lakes, data lakehouses, and data warehouses, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that align with the Bank's strategic objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for enterprise data management, including tiered processing models, data classification, architecture, stewardship, and governance.
- Integrate heterogeneous bank data sources and create meaningful datasets using platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric. Establish advanced data pipelines and ensure seamless integration with reporting and visualization tools like Power BI.
- Collaborate across departments to define business and technical priorities for data analytics initiatives. Facilitate the creation of actionable insights through robust reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Oversee development and maintenance of data documentation, including policies, standards, and procedures. Establish best practices for data governance, privacy, and security.
- Support visualization and analytics initiatives by leveraging Power BI for advanced data storytelling and decision-making. Incorporate Microsoft Fabric to enable integrated data processing and sharing.
- Ensure the security of Bank and customer data, mitigating risks from internal and external threats while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Manage relationships with vendors providing business intelligence and data analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with the Bank's business needs.
- Lead training initiatives to enhance user adoption of data analytics tools such as Power BI dashboards, Microsoft Fabric workflows, and other resources.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies to ensure the Bank's data strategy remains innovative and competitive.
- Validate and certify data extracts for technical and end-users, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits, vulnerability assessments, and examinations related to data operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include scheduling hours, interviewing and training employees, planning and directing work, conducting performance evaluations, and working with HR to address work-related issues.
- Identify and address issues, problems, or concerns, mentoring staff individually or in groups to self-discover resolutions and solutions.
- Create a positive environment, set clear performance expectations, and manage team productivity while being results-oriented.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, fostering their professional growth and technical expertise.
- Ensure employees complete compliance training within established timeframes; understand and implement compliance requirements applicable to their positions.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Education may be considered and can be substituted with four years commensurate experience.
Experience
- Eight years of experience with business intelligence, data design, report authoring, and writing advanced queries against data.
- Demonstrated experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, with a focus on designing intuitive dashboards and reports.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in designing and implementing data lakes, data lakehouses, and data warehouses.
- Evidence of progressive responsibility in related position preferred.
- Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Knowledge & Communication Skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Competently read, write and speak English sufficiently to comprehend, analyze and effectively communicate business memorandums, technical procedures and government regulations.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have an excellent understanding of business intelligence and reporting methodologies and how reports convey data to users.
- Exercise great discretion and confidentiality.
- Must understand and have the ability to implement applicable compliance requirements.
Analytical & Decision Making Skills
- Highly complex analytical, spatial, and mathematical abilities required to resolve difficult problems in a way that maintains data and system integrity, and adheres to bank policies and regulations.
- Remain thorough and detail oriented while performing several tasks concurrently.
- Must be able to assess situations and determine outcome based on limiting Bank risk while maximizing positive outcome for customers/employees.
Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills
- Expert knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL-based query languages.
- Expert knowledge of relational data models.
- Experience in building interactive and scalable dashboards in Power BI.
- Ability to optimize data workflows using Microsoft Fabric for integrated data processes.
- Requires an expert understanding of business intelligence tools used for ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
- Must be able to navigate through computerized and manual resources, in order to identify and resolve problem situations.
- Must be able to adapt to new and updated programming languages and tools as needed.
