Position Summary

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst develops and maintains stakeholder relationships with the Alternative Investments user groups to identify needs, analyze business processes, evaluate, and recommend strategic solutions that are vendor platform-enabled or custom-developed. The candidate will manage user expectations, engage in multiple initiatives, perform project tasks, track issues, and ensure timely deliverables.

This role is within the Engineering Solutions group under the Portfolio Management Vendor Platform team. It is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of new private investment ventures within a well-established firm with a proven track record.

The role provides opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally with business heads, portfolio managers, senior leaders. It will also serve as a liaison between the user community and the software development team to drive solutions, define requirements, test outputs, and ensure high quality solutions delivered to the business. We are seeking a candidate that has an analytical approach to problem-solving, strong financial acumen, and an understanding of private equity investment structures, asset-backed finance and insurance business models are highly preferred.



Essential Duties

    Analyze business needs, participate in vendor solution evaluations, and provide custom solution design and requirements, (may include stakeholder interviews, business process analysis, and review of existing documentation).
  • Interact with various departments in the firm including investment teams, corporate management, HR, Legal, Operations, and Engineering Solutions.
  • Coordinate with the technology team to work on automation and process improvement efforts.
  • Provide technical expertise and/or direct development activities.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance testing on new and enhanced features.
  • Provide production support to the user community.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leaders (including management and Portfolio Managers) and convey complex business concepts effectively.
  • Experience in private equity business lifecycle, processes, functional and data requirements.
  • Basic Business Intelligence, Report Development, and / or Relational Database Experience (MSSQL).
  • 5+ years of successful project management and business analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with vendor solutions supporting private credit, asset-backed finance and insurance business a plus

Working Conditions: Work is in office setting

Travel: No required travel; travel for training purposes is possible

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $145k -$165k. This is an anticipated range for base salary only.

Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
