Senior PowerBI Developer

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with extensive experience in data visualization, API integration, and programming. This role requires deep expertise in building scalable and dynamic Power BI solutions, advanced data modeling, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will excel at setting up and configuring data sources using APIs, possess advanced knowledge of Excel tools like Power Query and Power Pivot, and have a programming background with languages such as Python, SQL, or C#. This individual will play a key role in designing enterprise-level BI solutions and guiding best practices for analytics across the organization.

Salary Range: $98,000 - $144,000

Travel: Up to 10%

You Will:



  • Design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and datasets.
  • Develop and implement advanced data models, DAX calculations, and visualizations to support complex business needs.
  • Conduct performance tuning, ensuring efficiency in data refresh and report performance.
  • Configure and manage data connections to systems for financial, project, and operational data.
  • Design, configure, and manage data integrations using APIs (RESTful, JSON/XML) to ingest real-time and batch data into Power BI.
  • Work with Power Query and Power Pivot for data transformation from Excel.
  • Write custom queries, scripts, or connectors to automate and streamline API-based data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain data connections to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Utilize programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL, C#, or JavaScript) to develop scripts for data transformation, automation, and API integrations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build ETL processes and integrate Power BI with Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, and other tools.
  • Implement version control and CI/CD pipelines for Power BI solutions using tools like Git and DevOps.
  • Collaboration and Strategic Insights:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other developers to gather requirements and design end-to-end BI solutions.
  • Present technical concepts and data-driven insights to leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, and processes for cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Leverage Power Query and Power Pivot for advanced data wrangling, modeling, and transformation.
  • Combine data from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reports.


You Have:



  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, with a strong portfolio of enterprise-level dashboards and reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer, with proven expertise in API integration and enterprise-level financial solutions.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems into reporting solutions.
  • Extensive experience integrating and configuring APIs as data sources (RESTful, JSON/XML).
  • Strong programming background with proficiency in one or more languages: Python, SQL, C#, JavaScript.
  • Deep expertise in DAX, Power BI data modeling, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency with Power Query and Power Pivot for data transformation in Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets across multiple data sources.
  • Experience implementing ETL processes and integrating Power BI with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate for automating workflows.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or relevant cloud certifications.
  • Experience with data security practices and handling sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide team members on Power BI and data best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve technical challenges and improve BI solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business requirements.
  • A passion for learning new tools, technologies, and approaches to improve BI outcomes.
