Duties, Responsibilities & Other

    Contribute to developing pavement management programs (PMPs) and capital improvement programs (CIPs) for public agencies, state and local municipal agencies, and private clients.
  • Continuously develop expertise in pavement engineering, covering pavement design, condition assessment, and pavement management.
  • Solve complex problems, support project managers, establish effective working relationships with sub-consultants for data collection, and collaborate across disciplines to support infrastructure asset management.
  • Participate in writing proposals in response to RFPs.
  • Write and review pavement engineering reports.
  • Apply management experience to roadways and facilities for public or private clients.
  • Use MicroPAVER/PAVER, Pavement Express, ArcGIS, or other pavement management software.
  • Design roadways following AASHTO and FHWA design standards.
  • Conduct Pavement Condition Index surveys following ASTM standards.
  • Manage pavement data collection using a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), Video Vans, and High-Speed Inertial Profilers.
  • Professional Engineering License is preferred


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of professional experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
