Responsibilities

New opportunity for a Preclinical Optical Imaging Sales Professional with strong business acumen, lead generation, prospecting and closing skills to develop and drive in vivo imaging capital equipment sales.

    Actively pursue preclinical optical imaging sales opportunities and ensure that assigned territory meets sales goals
  • Work closely with FAS
  • Schedule technical lectures and workshops at key accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with new customers
  • Develop sales strategies necessary to grow the business for the assigned territory, including market analysis, business plan, and sales funnel.
  • Attend local vendor shows, company sponsored trade shows and conferences.
  • Actively prospect for new opportunities through phone, email, networking.
  • Manage and qualify incoming sales leads from prospecting, understanding their needs and asses fit.
  • Actively maintain and manage information in SalesForce
  • A technical background in small animal imaging/ in vivo imaging and/or mouse models is preferred.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • BS Degree in life science discipline; advanced degree a plus
  • Self-motivated, adaptive, assertive, and rigorous Sales Professional with a minimum of 8 years' technical sales work experience, including a proven track record of ongoing success and achievement selling capital scientific equipment. Recent experience selling in vivo imaging instrumentation to the life science marketplace strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in prospecting, qualifying and closing complex sales
  • Established relationships with decision makers in academia, pharma and biotech companies
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with in vivo imaging systems
  • Laboratory experience with mouse models and experimental design
  • Knowledge of the key account base
  • Demonstrated successful track record of prospecting (grants, publications), developing, and closing technical product and large capital equipment sales (100K+) to BioPharma and CROs
  • Advanced lead development and account cultivation skills, effective negotiation and closing techniques, and superior relationship management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, computer, and technical communication, organizational, and presentation skills, including advanced MS Office proficiency and Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Advanced sales communication, presentation, and follow through abilities in business correspondence and activities, including attention to detail and strong sense of urgency, support, customer response.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state and reliable transportation required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
