Your new role

As our new Consultant, you will be working closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on compliance and permitting air quality-related projects including but not limited to emissions estimation, air dispersion modeling, human health risk assessment, regulatory applicability and environmental justice. You may also have the opportunity to be involved in environmental investigation/remediation, health and safety, sustainability, water and wastewater permitting and compliance, and due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging environmental projects for industrial, financial sector, commercial, and global clients. You will help deliver innovative, inspiring, and sustainable solutions that set new standards and make a genuine difference to our clients, the environment, and society.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting air quality compliance reviews; estimating emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources; assisting in preparation of major and minor source permit applications
  • Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Prepare plans, reports, permit applications, and other project documents; support technical evaluations of data commensurate with experience
  • Wastewater and stormwater permitting; solid and hazardous waste permitting and compliance; groundwater monitoring support and reporting
  • Assisting senior staff with preparing technical reports, including compiling analytical data

Your new team

You will be part of our Environment & Health Division.

You will be part of our interdisciplinary team in the South Region. You will work with all levels of expertise, from entry-level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Each member of our team is part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job tasks.

Qualifications

About you

These include:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management Systems, or science discipline (air quality course work is a plus)
  • 0-3 years of air quality or related experience
  • Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
  • Ability and willingness to work as a responsible, independent team player in a consulting environment, including working on multiple projects simultaneously
