Analyst Intern
What you will be doing: The Intern works collaboratively within a team of highly qualified Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement to healthcare systems. This position will be primarily responsible for performing billable work for clients. The role of the Intern is to actively participate within an engagement team to determine our client's needs, analyze and interpret data, evaluate potential solutions, develop presentation materials, and assist in the implementation of recommended improvements. The Intern participates in all aspects of an engagement including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, planning and participating in interviews, conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions into insights and recommendations, synthesizing information into cohesive presentations for various audiences and helping to implement change. The intern will work in a team environment and provide input and support to team deliverables and presentations during each phase of a project. The Intern interacts with clients and is expected to build working relationships within the Premier/Client team. This position takes a broad approach to problem solving and develops an understanding of our client's needs and expectations. Interns will also participate in Premier internal activities including practice development, required and approved educational opportunities, and learning the various technologies Premier offers to its clients. Key Responsibilities Responsibility #1 - 75%
Obtain data, execute or coordinates analyses, initiate interpretations and conclusions, and prepare verbal and graphic presentations, using methods that are professionally sound and efficient relative to project objectives and conform to standards of the firm. Generate billings revenue by conducting assigned analyses, write and prepare reports, and assist clients in implementing desired changes at the direction of team leadership. Define detailed business requirements by working in tandem with team members to effectively interview clients to clarify project objectives; document customer "wants" and "needs". Create and prepare presentations and deliverables for client audiences that communicate strategy and outcomes at the direction of team leadership. Deliver content for projects in a timely and quality manner.

Awareness of: Market trends and key competitor's activities; networking; client and healthcare industry Understand risk management practices; identifies, communicates, and responds to risks and issues to manager Assist in determining client needs by gathering and researching data, utilizing common tools and analytical methods Statistical tools (R. Python, SAS, Matlab, etc.), Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, Business Intelligence
Experience:
Experience in healthcare, business or finance Demonstrated interest in healthcare performance improvement Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from their efforts

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
