Job Description: Senior Java Backend Developer
We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team, working primarily on backend development with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and OpenShift containers. While the role is backend-heavy, there is occasional work on front-end development using React.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with scrum teams (8 and 10 members) to design, develop, and enhance projects and applications.
- Work on New Business and Underwriting applications, including:
- Development and enhancements for e-applications and I-Pipeline's Resonate product.
- Collaborate with developers and BSAs on vendor-driven projects.
- Support Transactional Content Services, focusing on document management and workflow solutions, including:
- Integration with SS&C Core S software for storing and managing contracts.
- Enhancing workflow processes with Camunda tools.
Required Basic Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and containerization technologies ( OpenShift).
- Familiarity with React for occasional front-end work.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of vendor-driven products like I-Pipeline Resonate and SS&C Core S is a plus.
- Understanding of workflow tools like Camunda and integration within financial systems.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects in document management, underwriting, and transactional content services.
Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $50-60/hr, converts to $100-115k/yr
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
