Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Water Waste Technician opportunity in our processing plant facility. Your primary responsibility will be laboratory analysis, associated with waste water treatment. Operator duties will consist of maintaining pumps, blowers, etc. Recording flows and grounds maintenance. Will assist with daily operations of treatment plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Monitor operation of the waste treatment system within design specifications, to meet applicable discharge limits.
  • Oversee minor maintenance duties of equipment such as pumps, aeration system, etc.
  • Assure accurate sampling and analysis of waste treatment systems according to specifications and procedures. Maintain documentation of analytical results.
  • Communication on an as-needed basis with Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to gather and format information in reports, spreadsheet, etc.
  • Must use good customer service skills when interacting with both internal and external divisions

QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School or GED.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems.
  • Add skills and/or Core Competencies.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
  • Work environment includes laboratory environment as well as climate extremes during outdoor work. Will be exposed to odors associated with wastewater treatment. Will also be exposed to wastewater in various stages of treatment. Will be exposed to chemicals and fumes associated with laboratory work.
