What you'll do:

The Contract Manager is responsible for every phase of contract development from researching the legal regulations to negotiating the terms and conditions for the healthcare segment of our company. He or she will manage a team that ensures we are compliant and enrolled in all Federal, State, and Private Programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance. The role encompasses the creation, analysis, storage, and maintenance of agreements to ensure regulatory compliance across physician and vendor contracting.

As an Contract Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Contract administration: Oversee the contract lifecycle, from pre-contract to post-signature, and ensure all contract documents are accurate
  • Contract management: Create, analyze, store, and maintain contracts between healthcare entities and their vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Contract compliance: Ensure that all contract terms and conditions comply with legal and financial requirements
  • Contract negotiations: Lead negotiations for financial and other contractual terms
  • Contract reporting: Develop and maintain reports on the status of all contracts
  • Contract communication: Communicate contractual terms to the billing department and ensure staff are informed of changes
  • Contract relationships: Maintain relationships with contracted providers and develop business relationships with key contracting hospitals, physicians, and service providers
  • Contract strategy: Develop and implement strategic sourcing and contracting strategies
  • Contract cost reduction: Identify and develop cost reduction initiatives
  • Contract regulatory compliance: Develop and maintain an understanding of the federal and state regulatory environment
  • Contract risk mitigation: Analyze contracts to detect ambiguities, inaccurate statements, and other issues.

What you'll bring:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent with excellent academic credentials
  • Paralegal
  • 7+ years of contract/management experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Communication skills using the spoken word
  • Ability to work with interruptions
  • Keep up in a fast-paced work setting
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines
