Helicopter Mechanic - Fort Hunter Liggett , CA

  • $72,111-$105,173 annualized starting compensation range (includes 15% geo-modifier)
  • IA stipend adds $1.00/hr

We're hiring Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) to service the base location and surrounding communities of Fort Hunter Liggett. Our AMTs will be responsible for the overall maintenance and safe operations of our EC135. This critical role ensures our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, medical care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Technicians will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician or Regional Maintenance Manager.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
  • Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 2 Years FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificated experience
  • Two (2) years turbine powered helicopter experience
  • Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
  • Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning

Preferred:

  • Related experience under CFR Parts 133, 135 and 145
  • Avionics troubleshooting and electrical repair experience
  • Prior Utility, Fire / EC135 experience
  • IA Preferred

This base is positioned on and provides service to a US Military Installation. In addition to the standard REACH background check or REACH DOT background check, all hires for this role will be required to complete and clear additional US Government background checks, including, but not limited to:

  • DOD Tier 1 background check and CAC clearance
  • Child Background Check (CBC), including digital and/or ink fingerprints
