We are interested in developing long-term relationships with superior instructors who have high professional standards, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a commitment to providing the finest practitioner-focused education. We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate BSN nursing students on-site in Miramar, FL. Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab (BIOS-242) This course covers basic concepts of microbiology, with emphasison medically important microorganisms and infectious diseases. Alsoaddressed are microscopy, microbial growth and genetics, antimicrobialagents, epidemiology and immune system responses to pathogens.Lab exercises focus on aseptic techniques, isolation and culture ofmicroorganisms, microscopy and staining techniques. This in-person lecture will meet for three hours on two separate days each week. The lecture will take place on one day, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, while the lab will meet on a different day for three hours, also between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Responsibilities:
- Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
- Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
- Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
- Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
- Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.
- Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Earned a master's or doctorate degree in the course subject,with aminimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in the topic.
- Are able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution (or a NACES approved US course-by-course equivalency evaluation for degrees earned and conferred outside of the US)
- Have taught or been told you're a "natural" at teaching and helping others learn.
- Possessgenuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Haveexceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
