General Summary of Position: The UMass Lowell University Library seeks a collaborative and service-oriented part-time associate to join the Systems & Discovery team at the University Library. We welcome applications from people who embrace lifelong learning and are passionate about providing meaningful and equitable access to information, resources, and services to a diverse and engaged community. The Systems & Discovery Library Associate will play a key role in supporting the library's ongoing efforts to manage and enhance its assessment and management of electronic discovery of library resources. This person in this position will work on a series of projects, focusing on tasks such as inventory and assessment of discovery and authentication for various resources, platforms, and databases. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of managing projects simultaneously while collaborating with library staff and other troubleshooting stakeholders such as users and vendors. Schedule: Schedule to be determined in consultation with the Digital Services & Technology Librarian; some remote work may be possible. Pay: $22/hr for 18 hrs/wk Special Instructions to Applicants: Initial review of applications will begin January 6, 2025, and continue until the position is filled.
