Software Engineer 3

Location (HYBRID): Sunnyvale, CA

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design quality test plan based on product requirements
  • Build topology required for testing
  • Developing well-designed automated cases for the features and help in peer review
  • Execute test cases

Basic requirements

  • BE/BS/MS from reputed university/college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in validation and automation of networking products and automation
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Good amount of experience in configuring Switches/Routers
  • Hands-on experience for the below technical areas
    • Layer 2:
      • VLAN
    • Layer 3:
      • OSPF, ISIS, BGP
  • Strong coding skills with Python language is a key deciding factor for this post.

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS or Nokia devices is a plus.
  • Layer 2/3 protocol knowledge:
    • MPLS, LDP, RSVP, any VPN technology(L3vpn/L2vpn).
  • Linux, Kubernetes, VMs
  • Experience in Jira work environment is preferred.
  • Automation knowledge is mandatory for all technical areas - Robot, Selenium(preferred)
  • Certifications in networking like JNCIA/JNCIS or equivalent will be an added advantage

Minimum Salary: $120,000.00

Maximum Salary:$172,500.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $120,000.00 and $172,500.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
