Job Purpose

The Transformation Management Office is responsible for the organization, structure, and processes to successfully manage the planning and delivery of the Division Management Office that enables AHFC, AHM and HCFI to meet their business objectives.

The manager operates at a Strategic level in collaboration with AHFC, AHM and HCFI's executives and IT senior leadership. The responsibility of the manager is to provide division wide guidance, governance, standardized processes, and project portfolio management best practices and tools (in alignment with AHM IT PMO). The manager will align all program, project, and portfolio activities with division wide strategic objectives.

The manager will :

- Champion business innovation and IT transformation.

- Leads the AHFC/AHM/HCFI Transformation Management Office (TMO) to provide business value through the enterprise Scaled Agile Product Delivery framework. Responsible for the Product Management, Project Management, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects needed to deliver business initiatives.

-Responsible to identify and prioritize key initiatives and projects and contribute to the vision and direction for AHFC/AHM/HCFI within AHM IT

- Ensure that projects are successfully completed and goals are met

- Set appropriate levels of visibility and increase accountability through governance across the entire organization.

- Establish and maintain key competencies and skills, and set standards

- Responsible for maintaining and communicating key performance indicators for project performance

- Mentor and coach their direct reports and serve as the escalation point for issues that need to be solved

- Manage the project budget forecasting and actuals reconciliation

The Manager should be an innovative, results-driven manager with 12+ years leading high-visibility financial services programs and projects and driving innovation and process improvement. The Manager is an influential leader, successfully presenting strategic high-impact proposals and project plans to executive management to achieve buy-in. The Manager is a strong mentor and coach, skilled at inspiring confidence, leading by example and building loyal, high-performance teams that exceed expectations. The Manager has exceptional ability to simultaneously manage multiple matrix teams to consistently deliver complete projects on schedule and within budget, despite intense pressure and aggressive timelines. The Manager consistently demonstrates practical yet imaginative approaches to improve service delivery, workflow management and operational productivity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategy and Planning - Responsible for coordinating with the business and IT to develop the strategy and planning towards the AHFC and HCFI project portfolio.
  • Enterprise Project Services (EPS) - Responsible for the organization, structure, and processes to successfully manage the delivery business technology solutions that enables AHFC to transform through innovation to meet the dynamic business requirements.
  • Transformation Management Office (TMO): Establishing and leading the AHFC/AHM/HCFI Transformation Management Office (TMO) to provide business value through the enterprise Scaled Agile Product Delivery framework
  • Transformation Management Office (TMO) - Responsible for the organization, structure, and processes to successfully manage the delivery business technology solutions that enables AHFC & AHM to transform through innovation to meet the dynamic business requirements using scaled Agile Product Delivery.
  • Agile Product Delivery: Ensures the successful delivery of AHFC/AHM/HCFI's business and/or IT initiatives and support of shared services by rotating PDCA for continuous improvement and achieves goals including schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
  • Team Management - Builds and maintains high performing team (managers and high through staff and personal development. Creates environment where staff can feel motivated, engaged and inspired to achieve goals, objectives and continual service improvement actions.
  • Unit Performance Management - Achieves the performance goals of the unit on critical control items such as budget, manpower, compliance and risk items. Establishes performance targets and measures to ensure unit level results

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Education: IS related Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • 12 years of combined IT or PM related work from within IT or IT related sales function
  • 8 years of experience in a Sales or Captive Finance roles from IT or non-IT background
  • 8+ years Project Management experience with a successful track record as a leader of large-scale, complex projects
  • Project Management (PMP) certification preferred
  • Program Management (PgMP) certification or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with executing projects using Agile processes
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches (e.g. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology - PPM)
  • Budget, cost and profitability management skills
  • Knowledge of resource management tools
  • Credibility as a senior-level project leader
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture
  • Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
  • Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups
  • Resilience and resourcefulness
