Summary:

In this role, you are responsible for performing independent assessments on governance, risk management, and control processes for the organization, compliance with any relevant regulations, legislations and enterprise contracts, recovering unreported value and fielding management requests. Leads smaller scope audits and delegates tasks to other team members, while providing proper guidance and monitoring. Uses data mining skills and exercises a sense of professional skepticism to conduct research and answer questions. This role thrives in a team-oriented environment, receives minimal oversight and guidance to perform analyses, proactively and efficiently handles multiple tasks, is adaptable, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop audit programs and testing procedures to assure compliance for lower-risk Vizient contracts, components internal controls and Vizient policies.

  • Lead smaller scope audits including audit program development, analysis, forensic investigation, research, and testing of information to identify risks and weaknesses in business processes and control systems.

  • Verify contractual compliance by designing, conducting, and performing analyses with disparate data and multifaceted contract terms.

  • Perform research using various systems, databases, and technologies to verify compliance.

  • Design and create charts, graphs, tables, and reports to support recommendations; and present recommendations to management and assist negotiating resolutions.

  • Communicate non-compliance issues, recommendations to stakeholders through creation of clear, concise, and organized communications considering the audience's specific needs.

  • Adhere to our Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) for all aspects of audit projects.

  • Anticipate and address management needs by capturing, summarizing, and providing information to leaders while maintaining and improving the quality of relationships with audited personnel.

  • Demonstrate both internal and external focus, keeping in touch with marketplace best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience required.

  • Working knowledge in several diverse disciplines (contract compliance, auditing procedures, testing, reporting, internal controls, risk management, and finance and accounting practices and methods).

  • Sound judgment to contribute unbiased independent advice during audits.

  • Relational database and analytical application experience preferred (e.g., Aqua Data, SQL, ACL, Excel, IDEA, Power BI, Tableau, Python)

  • Relevant audit certification (i.e., CIA, CPA, CISA, and/or CFE) preferred.

  • Applied Knowledge Competency related to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Competency Framework preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $47,800.00 to $85,800.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
