Summary:

In this role, you will join Vizient's enterprise IT operations and monitoring team. You will support numerous complex projects throughout the organization with monitoring capabilities and system administration.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, implement and analyze enterprise network infrastructure and operations monitoring solutions.
• Perform a variety of analytical tasks for the design and implementation of IT service solutions, including hardware platform and software monitoring.
• Partner closely with initiative leads, business areas, technical leads, architects, subject matter experts, developers, technical support groups and test teams to deliver value to the business.
• Gather and interpret technical requirements to design and maintain critical systems.
• Perform complex design and analyses providing technical specifications and solutions to meet needs of the business.
• Lead and conduct testing exercises to ensure functionality of product or resolution.
• Present recommendations to management and provide guidance in selecting new procedures or alternatives.
• Serve as a resource to others regarding highly technical areas and provide expertise to internal department managers and others outside the department.
• Ability to participate in team on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
• Experience as a developer, engineer, system admin or similar position is required.
• 2+ years Python or PowerShell experience required.
• Experience utilizing APIs to automate tasks and produce reports strongly preferred.
• Experience working as part of an enterprise IT systems administration and operations department is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise planning, designing, implementing, and analyzing network infrastructure and operations monitoring solutions preferred.
• Experience with the management and operational use of systems monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Splunk, Microsoft SCOM, and ServiceNow strongly preferred.
