Requirements
Desired Skills
- Five + (5+) years of experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
- Thorough understanding of NSWC operations
- Demonstrated expertise designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications for DoD projects
- Experience developing software to facilitate operation of radio frequency distribution components, antennas, and feedlines in accordance with specifications and engineering standards for installation in either a lab or shipboard environment
- Expertise in additional software programming languages
- Demonstrated proficiency with the development, maintenance, testing, and certification - accreditation of software for Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
- Expert-level knowledge of Py Torch, Tensor Flow, MATLAB, and/or LabVIEW
- Familiarity with Department of Navy (DoN), Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community cybersecurity directives, policies, and procedures. To include ensuring software complies with requirements throughout design, development, and deployment.
- Demonstrated Experience with software vulnerability mitigation
Description
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software-programming applications
- Supports and/or installs software applications
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software
- Utilizes a familiaritity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Provides software engineering support to include the development, maintenance, testing, and certification - accreditation of software and operating system modifications for operating system integration efforts. To include the maintenance/modification of existing software code and operating system configurations, establishment and design of new code, and implementation of enhancements to system capabilities
- Provides software engineering support to include development, maintenance, testing, and certification - accreditation of software for Human Machine Interface (HMI) Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs). To include maintenance of existing source code, establishment and design of new code, and implementation of enhancement to system capabilities
- Provides support of the following programming languages (C, C++, Java, and Python), and be able to provide resources for other languages as the technology changes or new languages are developed or required
- Supports the development of neural networks and machine learning applications using industry tools and techniques, such as Python, Py Torch, Tensor Flow, MATLAB, and LabVIEW
- Provides software engineering support to include the development, maintenance, testing, and certification - accreditation of software modifications for command-and-control development. To include the maintenance of existing software code, establishment and design of new code, and implementation of enhancements to system capabilities.
- Develops software to facilitate operation of radio frequency distribution components, antennas, and feedlines in accordance with specifications and engineering standards for installation in either a lab environment or shipboard as necessary
- Develops and designs firmware for components or system blocks that meet specified requirements
- Develops Version Description Documents, Interface Design Documents, Software Development Plans and documentation that supports any software development performed
- Performs and reports on functional testing of software, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
- Provides software troubleshooting and resolution for specified software applications. Reviews, provides recommendations, and implements Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) following government approval
- Provides cybersecurity services for systems developed under this contract that, comply with, Department of the Navy (DoN), Department of Defense (DoD), and Intelligence Community cybersecurity directives, policies, and procedures
- Ensures software complies with these requirements throughout design, development, and deployment. If vulnerabilities are discovered, makes all necessary changes to software in order to mitigate said vulnerabilities
