Engineering Technician II About Us Position Summary Trideum Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Technician II with a foundational understanding of weapon systems. In this role, you will contribute to the successful execution of test operations. This role is ideal for a candidate who excels in documentation, analysis, and team-oriented environments, and who is committed to supporting high-quality testing processes. The successful candidate will possess a general knowledge of weapon systems and will apply scientific skill and knowledge gained from previous technical coursework or experience, on the job training, mentorship and/or individual study. He/she will review test documentation to assess adequacy, objectives and system test/system checkout procedures with respect to criteria based on appropriate military standards. The candidate shall prepare Test Incident Reports (TIRs) documenting mission timeline, record deviations from procedure, equipment failure/anomalies, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance. He/she will also provide input to various test agencies as to Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) issues under guidance of the particular Failure, Scoring, and Definition Scoring Criteria (FSDC) for that system. This will include monitoring test events to assess test conformity with approved test plans and providing updates where discrepancies are observed. He/she will also maintain logs (written and/or digital) to record equipment failure, data collection problems and deviations from planned procedures. These documented events will provide an assessment to support Scoring Conferences to determine the overall functionality of the System under Test (SUT). The candidate must also use existing Data Bases or utilize software to store, archive and/or transfer data from individual CD-ROMS, Hard Drives or other storage media to other networks for analysis. When necessary, the candidate will also assist with test scheduling by interfacing with Range Engineers/Test Officers and will assign Data Collection personnel to specific test support activities. Work Environment This job operates in an outdoors/field environment. The candidate must also be comfortable/capable of working within close proximity to ammunition/explosives and tactical military equipment that produce low and high frequency noise when in operation. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
