The Opportunity:

The Azure Integration Platform (AIP) Team at Duquesne Light Company is responsible for leveraging Azure integration services to build and support new enterprise applications at DLC. We are also responsible for innovating and enhancing the existing platform and production integrations.

The Azure Integration Services Cloud Developer role is focused on providing solutions in an Agile environment. Assists with the implementation of new integrations. Interfaces cross-functionally with other teams, communicating effectively (both written and verbal), and utilizing problem solving and technical skills to implement solutions.

Location: Hybrid (see below), downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Job Responsibilities:



  • Utilizes problem solving and technical skills to implement solutions.
  • Complete assigned sprint work focusing on implementing new integrations, delivering enhancements to existing integrations or enhancing underlying integration platform.
  • Assist with support of existing production integrations.
  • Work with business and development team to design and implement solutions.
  • Work with QA resources to test solutions.
  • Implement and enhance deployment processes (CI/CD).
  • Other duties as assigned to include:Documentation, team meetings, project work as assigned and other administrative tasks.



Education/Experience:



  • BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline required.

    • In lieu of a degree, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered.
    • One (1+) or more years related experience required. Experience with Azure Integration Services, including: Logic Apps, Data Factory, API Management, Azure Functions, Event Grid and Service Bus preferred.
    • Experience in cloud development preferred.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps preferred.

Scope

Responsibilities are generally tactical and basic in nature; however, work may vary in type and complexity, requiring the incumbent to be flexible to adjust to the given situation. Primary focus is on daily deliverables and outputs, while at the same time developing a knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed.

Decision Impact

Independent discretion or decision making capability is mostly limited. There is normally a general framework of established boundaries to help employees perform their roles and make decisions. Situations that require deviation from this general framework are typically not made alone. The employee may recommend a solution, however the recommendations are frequently presented to their manager or more senior level professionals for review and approval prior to the decision being made.

Hybrid Work

Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.

Storm Roles

All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Data Governance

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
