Who You'll Work With
You will be part of McKinsey's Advanced Industries practice based in Boston. As a member of Capabilities & Insights team, you will collaborate with our global consultants to conduct research and analysis on companies and trends in the automotive sector, e.g. auto manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, electrification, autonomous vehicles, and more.

Your impact within our firm
From day one, you will be part of a global team that helps develop innovative solutions for our clients, as well as contribute to the continuous development of our knowledge infrastructure within the automotive domain.
Your work will range from short-term information gathering to long-term project support. You will get access to a variety of industry-specific sources and global network of experts. You will analyze the positioning and competitiveness of our clients, evaluate key financial figures, technology and product strategies, and define market sizes and fields of application.
You will also receive coaching and professional development opportunities. In addition to mentoring from experienced colleagues, you will also receive high-quality internal training sessions.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Very strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environment, and with colleagues at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to accomplish work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in automotive industry is not required but a plus
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the industrial sector, market research, and/or corporate strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or similar required

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current

and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
