Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead, design, develop, and maintain data pipelines ensuring efficient and secure data transmission and optimize data workflows in a cloud environment Design and develop complex requirements to accomplish business goals Assist with the technical design of cloud architecture and document proposed solutions (documents, diagrams) to effectively communicate the solution Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements Ensure solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset Design, implement, document, and maintain data architectures, data transmission processes along with associated data quality measures Develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources and transform data to meet business needs working with tech to tech data providers, internal governance partners, and a vendor cloud solution Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work Design/develop/modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance) Use AWS tooling to efficiently roll out secure infrastructure practices including single sign-on authentication and roles based authorization control (RBAC) utilizing IAM identity and resource policies Set up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline Automate manual release activities Mentor other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack Individual contributor Requirements: Strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns Strong background in cloud data solutions, data transmission protocols and ETL processes Strong understanding of data transmission protocols (HTTP, FTP, SFTP) and security best practices Proficient in Java Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases Familiarity with data warehousing concepts Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data science workflows Experience with IT Infrastructure build projects Experience with Cloud infrastructure Experience with Networking Experience with SAN/NAS Storage Experience with Citrix Experience with RHEL and Windows Server platforms Strong development background in Actimize, ActOne, Informatica 10.4 and Kapow products Pay Range: $58.26 - $66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
