Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers throughout Minnesota. Beauterre Recovery is a 64 bed residential center, providing care for both men and women in Owatonna, Minnesota. Beauterre is looking for a talented, and passionate psychiatric nurse practitioner to offer exceptional psychiatric 2-3 days a week on site, with up to 1 day a week remote as consultative support. A total of 24 hours per week is expected in this role, with flexibility in hours and scheduling. The qualified candidate will serve as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care of adults with co-occurring conditions. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Obtains comprehensive diagnostic assessments. * Orders appropriate diagnostic tests analyzes data results of patient examinations and diagnostic tests to correctly diagnose and manage patients. * Collaborates with physicians and other medical staff as necessary, to verify diagnosis, identify high-risk situations or alerts to changes in patient's status and takes appropriate action. * Provides medical management and/or other interventions for acute and chronic health problems. * Administers medication if appropriate. * Performs procedures according to established methods within the scope of practice. * Provides appropriate follow-up care and/or referral to other health care resources. * Provides patient/patient's family with appropriate education. * Provides health maintenance and disease management counseling to patients. * Serves as a liaison and a resource for physicians, health care team members, patients, and families * Participates in plans for health promotion, prevention, and maintenance. * Completes all charting and documentation and assures appropriate fees/billing codes are used for professional services. * Attend and actively daily shift report, staff huddles, and interdisciplinary staffing. * Attend all training as required by supervisor * Attend and actively participate daily in multidisciplinary staffing. * Attend and participate in departmental meetings * Attend All-Staff meetings and participate as needed. * Serve on projects as delegated. Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions: * Licensed as PMHNP Required Skills, Knowledge and Ability * Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate abstract concepts in a simple format. * Ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. * Strong knowledge of the 12 core functions. * Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities. * Computer skills to draft emails, memos, and reporting.
