Summary:
UNC Therapy Services, the outpatient orthopedic division of the Rehabilitation Services Department at UNC Medical Center, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide patient-centered care in diverse outpatient settings, including stand-alone clinics, integrated wellness centers, and clinics within large ambulatory or multi-specialty practices across Chapel Hill and Durham.

We value flexibility and balance, offering both variable and fixed schedules based on business needs and employee preferences. This role supports opportunities to work consistently at a single location or flexibly across multiple sites, with a strong preference for candidates able to provide at least 20 hours per week. Clinics operate Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, offering a variety of shifts and work opportunities.

As part of our highly skilled team, you will deliver evidence-based, one-on-one care through 45-minute evaluations and treatments, enabling personalized rehabilitation and exceptional patient outcomes. Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and evidence-based rehabilitative care to patients, encompassing patient assessment, evaluation, treatment, planning, and the associated administrative tasks.

2. Diagnostic Testing: Conduct both basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations, focusing on the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments. Utilize a range of testing methods to accurately assess patient needs and treatment options.

3. Evaluation of Care: Analyze results from diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish and modify patient goals and treatment programs. Focus on identifying expected patient outcomes and communicate key information to ensure continuity of care.

4. Implementation: Employ current and advanced treatment techniques to offer high-quality, efficient rehabilitative services. Provide both habilitation and rehabilitation, and organize patient care, prioritizing their needs and those of their families.

5. Participation: Actively contribute to the quality of clinical services by participating in departmental meetings and in-service training as requested by management. Your involvement is crucial to maintaining high standards of care and service delivery.

6. Quality: Uphold the quality of clinical services through meticulous maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress. Engage in quality improvement initiatives alongside departmental leaders, clinical specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Play a role in continuous quality improvement efforts.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* - Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
* - BLS
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required. Expertise in outpatient orthopedics is preferred but not mandatory. New graduates and those with experience in various settings are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

* Experience or interest in orthopedics and sports medicine.

* Ability to evaluate and treat a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, geriatric, and sports medicine patients.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent documentation skills and proficiency with complex EMR systems.

* Self-directed and independent learner.

* Motivated to seek out learning and growth opportunities in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine
