Inside the Role

As a Technical Product Owner for Material Planning on the IT Procurement & Supply Chain Team, you will work with a dynamic and motivated team that collaborates closely with our corporate business partners and plants. Your mission is to provide and support highly valued enterprise-level solutions for DTNA's Material Planning systems and services.

Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000-115,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Technical Product Ownership:Oversee the integrated Material Planning suite, encompassing all components, hardware, software, and integration with various DTNA backend systems, as well as Business Intelligence and Analytics services. As the Material Planning Technical Product Owner you are responsible for product planning, product strategy, and product marketing & communication. Define Technical Product scope and objectives. Develop Technical Product development and work plan and manage to that plan. Conduct Technical Product portfolio planning with business and IT partners to deliver business objectives. Plan and track Technical Product budget and costs.

  • End-to-End Management:Take full responsibility for the product lifecycle, from day-to-day operations to strategic planning and execution. Manage the Technical Product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, help define the Technical Product vision, and work closely with Corporate and Plant Stakeholders. Guide work through the IT life cycle including working with IT architects to identify a technical solution, facilitating estimates, work oversight, customer status, testing, user signoff and implementation.

  • Collaboration & Communication:Work with IT and Business stakeholders to plan and execute IT projects for SCM, providing program oversight for dependent business initiatives. Manage Stakeholder and Technical Product communication. Provide regular project updates and communications.

  • Technical Leadership:Utilize your leadership and technical skills to stabilize and evolve the system with modern technologies such as Containers, Cloud, fully automated CI/CD, testing, advanced monitoring, and API integration services.

  • Requirement Translation:Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain business users to define MRP business requirements and translate them into new and evolving application features.

  • Agile/DevOps Engagement:Participate in Agile/DevOps teams in various roles, embracing agile development by defining epics, collaborating on requirements and storyboards for each sprint, and leading efforts as a SCRUM master when needed.

  • Project Leadership:Support the Leadership of multimillion-dollar projects through all development phases, gaining a thorough understanding of DTNA business processes and systems to design new Technical Products and evolve existing ones. Manage risks and issues and take corrective measures. Support your team to redefine their processes, tracking and monitoring team speed, velocity and efficiency, and encouraging them to take the lead in driving related initiatives. Utilize industry best practices and techniques through project execution.

  • Change Management:Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies within the organization. Manage different priorities, communicate to related teams and manage a variety of stakeholders.

  • Value Delivery:Contribute within an agile and motivated team to deliver value to our business customers. Additionally, take on responsibilities as a business analyst and project manager, working closely with business colleagues to design high-performing end-to-end solutions. Support your team to redefine their processes, tracking and monitoring team speed, velocity and efficiency, and encouraging them to take the lead in driving related initiatives.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA in Computer Science plus 2-4 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Mainframe Systems (IMS, DB2, JCL...)

  • Strong leadership and technical skills, with a focus on modern technologies.

  • Ability to manage and lead medium to large-scale projects.

  • Expertise in leading change management initiatives.

  • Previous leadership or project management experience.

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and customer service skills with users at all levels, written and verbal communication skills (both technical and non-technical) required.

  • Proven ability to work in a cross functional organization, analyze and document business and technical requirements, handle ambiguity and lead tasks to completion.

  • Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope budget and timeline.

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating resourcefulness in achieving goals.

  • Knowledge of the technical constraints and dependencies of IT systems.

  • Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Experience with requirements gathering, design, and user story documentation.

  • An attached resume is required.

Exceptional candidates Might have

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies.

  • Documented history of DEI&B activations

  • Community service that exemplifies DTNA's commitment to all who keep the world moving

  • PMP Certification

  • Proven experience in product ownership, particularly in MRP systems and solutions.

  • Experience/exposure to manufacturing and operation processes

  • Working experience with Purchasing or Supply Chain systems and/or DTNA backend systems

  • Experience with designing RESTful APIs

  • Experience with Azure services and building cloud-based software solutions

  • Experience with Azure PaaS

  • Experience in developing technical & functional specifications from business requirements.

  • Demonstrates fluency in English.
