IT Project Manager

Velosity Company is searching for an IT Project Manager to support our company on an enterprise level. The incumbent for this role can choose to sit in Forest Lake or Brooklyn Park, MN. The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a company's technical projects.

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Project management Professional (PMP) or similar certification- preferred
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
• Requires 5+ years of IT experience, with a focus on Business Process Management and Project/Program Management in a corporate IT environment.
• Strong understanding of Project management principles, excellent communication skills, problem solving attitude, and proficiency with project management tools.

Essential Duties:

• Project Management: Manage large, long-range and/or multiple complex IT projects following a defined project intake process.
• Setting Project Goals: Define project scope, goals, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Planning and Scheduling: Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Communications: Develop and manage project communication plans to effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Facilitating discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders, such as analysts, leadership, subject matter experts, consultants, or clients. Coordinate effective meetings with clear agendas to discuss project goals and progress.
• Resource Management: Manage project budget and expenditures as well as resource allocation. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities. Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors.
• Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for projects and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Progress Tracking: Track project milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. In parallel, maintain an IT Project Matrix for visibility of all projects while achieving project management KPIs.

Physical, Mental & Travel Demands:

• Walking is required within the facility. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to walk and sit.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them in a timely manner; ability to make decisions with limited information, ability to lead, implement, and sustain change.
• Must be able to travel to the different Velosity locations when needed.

Work Environment:

Velosity has non-smoking, climate controlled, professional injection molding facilities. The manufacturing environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding facility.

Protective Clothing Required:

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
