This ten month position provides comprehensive psychological services to a culturally diverse student population. Duties regularly include the following: triage intake assessments; individual, couples, and group therapy; crisis intervention; clinical supervision of trainees as assigned; and outreach to the campus community. On a less regular basis, the position includes consultation with faculty, staff and students. CAPS staff also routinely serve on campus wide committees as approved by the Director. Work is performed under general supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with University Policies & Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Master's degree in mental health related field: counseling, social work, or similar discipline. Must be currently licensed as a professional counselor, clinical social worker, or in similar discipline. Completion of all required supervised experience; at least one year of direct client care in a mental health agency. Prefer at least 2-4 years of post-licensure experience in a university counseling center or mental health agency. Clinical experience with women's issues and a commitment to working with diverse clients including individuals from ethnically/racially diverse backgrounds and individuals representing various sexual orientations and gender identities is essential. Additionally, experience with group therapy, preventative mental health outreach and clinical supervision is desired. Although licensed candidates are preferred, non-licensed candidates with relevant experience may be considered. Supervision by an appropriate licensed mental health clinician would need to be secured by applicant. Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. Some evening hours may be required.

SAFETY

Employees are responsible for completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently, and supervisors are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Employees must report any unsafe work conditions or practices, as well as any near-miss incidents, to their supervisor and Risk Management. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
