Senior CAD Designer/Modeler

Join Chromalloy as a Senior CAD Modeler to create and maintain CAD models and drawings for aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. In this role you will develop innovative solutions to enhance the performance of Chromalloy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modeling: Create/modify CAD models of gas turbine components and related tooling.
• Drawing: Apply ASME Y14.5M standards and GD&T. Create/modify CAD drawings.
• Characterization: Reverse engineer components using proper measuring tools.
• Data Interrogation: Manipulate characterization data with design intent.
• Inspection: Apply complex nesting techniques and create tolerance studies.
• Manufacturing: Understand casting and machining processes. Troubleshoot tooling.
• Component Familiarity: Understand gas turbine engine components and their functions.

Education & Experience:

• AA/AS degree, technical school certificate, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience modeling complex gas turbine components with emphasis on cooled turbine airfoils or similar experience.
• Team oriented with an ownership mentality
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• CAD Software: Creo, NX, Geomagic, GOM, Teamcenter
• Measuring Equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, CMM, ATOS, FARO
