Required Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of cloud engineering concepts
  • Extensive Experience in Cloud Technologies, Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, and Cloud Security
  • Extensive Experience in Cloud vNets, Network Security Groups/ACLs, Load balancer, Traffic Manager, firewalls, peering, private endpoints, etc.
  • Extensive Experience in High Availability, Replication, Backup and Restore/Recovery, Disaster Recovery and Monitoring of Databases in Hybrid Cloud
  • Extensive Experience with Cloud database services and Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Shell Scripting, etc.
  • Significant experience automating Infrastructure setup and application deployment using best practices of CI/CD with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform
  • Expert knowledge of cloud-based security tools, best practices and policies including demonstrated experience protecting all layers of the application stack

      Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: US Citizen

      Preferred Education & Experience: 7+ years of experience setting up and configuring cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, 5+ years of experience in migrating on-prem databases to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, etc. (Azure Experience is preferred), and a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (Master's Degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education or experience.

      Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

      A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $130,000 - $180,000

      Essential Job Function Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are critical in evaluating the qualifications and abilities of an applicant or employee.
