Overview

Responsible for gathering input from stakeholders, business users, and technology teams to define and prioritize requirements, translating business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintaining the product backlog. It includes assessing business impact and value, aligning with the enterprise value streams, and applying industry-standard product management practices. The role also involves developing product roadmaps, coordinating releases, prioritizing development items, defining user experience flows, and partnering with development teams on application architecture and integration points.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Gather Input: Work with stakeholders, business users, and technology teams to define and prioritize requirements.
  • Translate Needs: Convert business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain Backlog: Manage and update the product backlog to accurately reflect business needs and priorities.
  • Apply Concepts: Utilize industry-standard Product Management practices and methodologies.
  • Document Requirements: Translate business intent, customer needs, and technical direction into well-documented requirements and product backlog.
  • Facilitate Sessions: Organize and lead requirements gathering and refinement sessions, documenting decisions and following up on action items.
  • Develop Roadmap: Develop product roadmaps for both the short-term (6-12 months) and long-term (2-3 years) that align with the goals and objectives of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Releases: Plan, execute, and communicate both scheduled and unscheduled releases with all stakeholders.
  • Prioritize Development: Prioritize development items based on deadlines, business context, and technical needs.
  • Define User Experience: Outline user experience flows and decisions, including success, failure, and error conditions, in collaboration with others.
  • Design Architecture: Collaborate with development teams to design application architecture, define integration points, and establish non-functional requirements.
  • Provide Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert during development to resolve design issues and provide clarity.
  • Bridge Communication: Facilitate conversations between customers and development teams using knowledge of user journeys and technical integration.
  • Conduct Acceptance Tests: Perform acceptance tests of working software against acceptance criteria and provide sign-off or feedback as needed.
  • Value Stream Alignment: Align processes with value stream analysis to ensure strategic goals are met and workflows are optimized.
  • System Operations: Manage system changes, tests, upgrades, support requests, and oversee work plans, budgeting, and project management tasks.
  • User Support and Documentation: Research end-user needs, promote education, develop documentation, and serve as the lead contact with the vendor.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 10+ years of relevant experience (MBA or advanced degree preferred) including managing enterprise-grade business applications
  • Construction and/or real estate development industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction-specific platforms
  • Effective management and leadership skills; provide clear direction to direct reports.
  • Excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills for successful communication with team members and management.
  • Demonstrated positive team attitude and ability to interact with diplomacy and tact with internal and external business process partners.
  • Ability to align technology plans in support of strategic business objectives.
  • Relevant certifications, including Agile methodologies, SAFe, TOGAF, ERP and other industry-standard certifications.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Providence, RI this ranges from $101,000.00 - $135,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For Boston, MA and Arlington, VA this ranges from $118,000.00 - $160,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
