Special Security Technician - Mid

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph clearance to be considered.

Cherokee Analytics is seeking a Special Security Technician to provide support to DIA.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Special Security Technician - Mid: $95,000 - $115,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Special Security Technician - Mid Responsibilities Include:



  • Assist Facility Manager in maintenance and upkeep of J2 spaces.
  • Conduct visitor control and security of the lobby area.
  • Assist with SCIF Security issues, self-inspections, and remedial actions in support of the SSO.
  • Assist the SSO to ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities.
  • Certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances and accesses.
  • Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material/SSO-related material and topics.
  • Obtain signed disclosure agreements.
  • Provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government, and contractor personnel.
  • Audits classified material; inspections of classified material storage facilities/SCIFS/containers; and researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, report and recommendations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Special Security Technician - Mid Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Counterintelligence polygraph preferred, must be able and willing to obtain and maintain Counterintelligence polygraph
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience working with Microsoft offices suite and internet tools.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
