Lead contracts and teams in support of the client and Cherokee Federal's (company) mission. Responsible for the growth and recapture of multiple contracts within a defined portfolio. Provide tactical and strategic guidance to teams and project managers. Oversee the progress of operations by ensuring assigned project teams meet or exceed operational and contract goals. Portfolio assigned may vary depending on revenue, complexity and/or staffing requirements. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Manager Pay commensurate with experience. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree 5 - 10 years of federal government contract-related Program Manager experience PMP certification preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires an active Secret Clearance. Knowledge and understanding of current organizational practices and programs. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint or similar software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent proposal development, support and writing skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage and develop high performing teams. Ability to implement and execute vision and goals. Ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop a pipeline directly or indirectly by using multiple market and customer resources. Ability to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently. Ability to be client focused and detail oriented. Ability to manage staff of different disciplines to produce results on time and within budget. Ability to work and communicate in a matrixed environment. Ability to communicate to and brief leaders. Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance per contract and/or sector requirements. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work will require travel, including overnight stays. Required to be at the Corporate Office San Antonio, TX M-W-F.
