Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, Enrollment Services, the Enrollment Coach will execute student recruitment, admissions and retention plans for continuing and professional courses and programs. Effectively employ communication and problem-solving skills to facilitate exceptional student experience from initial inquiry through program completion. Identify opportunities to enhance recruitment efforts and implement agreed upon strategies. Collaborate with colleagues in academic, Student Services and Marketing departments to manage and optimize CPE's enrollment "funnel," including troubleshooting and communicating barriers to student success.

This position will ensure each prospective student has the information needed to be successful, meet their educational goals, and motivate prospective students to enroll and persist. The Enrollment Coach is responsible for securing the enrollments and revenue that enables UCD CPE to grow, innovate and empower more students to pursue the work they love.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Sciences, Psychology, Business or other related subject area or equivalent experience/training.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in consultative sales, consumer sales, marketing, admissions, student support services or recruiting. Experience using active listening and professional sales/coaching skills to identify and confirm needs and offer a logical solution.
* Experience responding and adapting to rapidly changing priorities and working within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional closing skills to persuade and motivate others to pursue action while still remaining welcoming, understanding, and empathetic. Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence others internally and externally.
* Excellent organizational skills to include attention to detail and follow through.
* Thorough knowledge and experience working with a diverse population.
* Knowledge of and commitment to upholding federal confidentiality guidelines regarding student information.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience providing career or academic coaching to students.
* Prior experience in higher education recruitment, preferably with an adult student population in continuing education.
* Proficient in Salesforce, Destiny or other Higher Ed CRM and SIS applications.
* Knowledge of principles and practices of student recruitment and/or retention.

Department Overview

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) is the academic division of the university dedicated to workforce and career development. CPE helps professional working adults upskill, reskill and advance their careers. CPE partners with campus schools, colleges and faculty to create global access to the distinctive knowledge and resources of UC Davis and also works with employers and local experts to develop programs targeted to regional needs for economic development. More than 1,500 professionals teach in a wide array of specialized practice domains, including outstanding faculty from across UC Davis. Work Environment
