Overview / Job Summary:

The Coordinator for the Simulation Lab is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of the simulation lab at WSU Tech. This includes maintaining simulator equipment, coordinating simulation-based learning activities, and supporting faculty and students in their use of simulation technology. Additionally, this position will ensure that simulation experiences are integrated effectively into the healthcare training programs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and functionality of simulation equipment and technology.
  • Coordinating simulation training sessions for students and faculty, ensuring that all educational objectives are met.
  • Providing technical support to faculty and students using the simulation lab.
  • Participating in the development and evaluation of simulation scenarios and debriefing processes.
  • Implementing best practices in simulation education and staying current with advancements in simulation technology.
  • Collaborating with faculty to enhance curriculum offerings and integrate simulation into the instructional design.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to simulation activities, usage, and outcomes.
Requirements

Education:

  • Associate's degree required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • One-year technical experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse faculty, students, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and educational needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
