L1:

Estimated annual base pay: $71,840.00 (minimum) - $89,800.00 (midpoint) - $107,760.00 (maximum)

L2:

Estimated annual base pay: $108,560.00 (minimum) - $135,700.00 (midpoint) - $162,840.00 (maximum)

Software engineers develop a range of software including embedded systems, user interfaces, regression tests, hardware-in-the-loop integration tests, control system tools, database systems, operating systems, compilers, interpreters, and device drivers. They apply standard engineering principles, practices, and procedures, adhering to relevant software and compliance standards. Their responsibilities encompass design and implementation of solutions, creation and execution of tests, and providing general support.

What you will be doing...

L1:

• Basic design, implementation, support and test of low complexity software modules with a predefined design.
• Familiarity with software development and analysis tools including editors, compilers, linkers, debuggers, code analyzers, version control systems, software testing tools, etc.
• Work with software and hardware engineers to understand user requirements, drive design and assure quality implementation.
• Facilitate/coordinate/perform software testing per predefined test plan; review verification/validation results.
• Gather, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results.
• Provide work effort estimates.
• Attend/participate in engineering technical reviews.
• May guide/direct a technician or intern.

L2:

• Design, support and test of low to moderate complexity software systems and modules.
• Solid knowledge of software development and analysis tools including editors, compilers, linkers, debuggers, code analyzers, version control systems, software testing tools, etc.
• Preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments.
• Develop and facilitate execution of test plans, address issues using sound engineering approaches.
• Gather, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• Provide work effort estimates, assist in project planning efforts including project task definition.
• Active participant in engineering technical reviews.
• Guide/direct a technicians, interns, or possibly a Level 1 Software or Software Verification Engineer.

What we are looking for...

L1:

• US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Science or international equivalent required

L2:

• US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Science or international equivalent required
• Greater than 1 year professional software engineering experience required
• Basic experience with software development and/or verification required
