The basics of this position:

The Administrative Clerk performs administrative duties of moderate complexity, including typing, filing, recordkeeping, and answering phones, while providing front-line customer service and managing inventory.

What you'll do:



  • Prioritizes and provides skilled typing services to ensure accurate and timely completion of clerical tasks such as correspondence, reports, instructional materials, and college forms
  • Maintains filing system to ensure accurate and complete department records
  • Orders supplies and maintains inventory
  • Greets students, staff, and visitors to provide information and ensure delivery of accurate information and necessary services
  • Screens phone calls, answering questions or forwarding to appropriate personnel
  • Schedules appointments and manages the calendar for the department
  • Prepares contracts, consulting agreements, and necessary service documentation
  • Assists with bid openings and prepares Board of Trustees (BOT) agenda reports
  • Provides customer service on the front line, including handling walk-ins, phone calls, and email inquiries
  • Additional duties as assigned


Education, experience, and other requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) months of full-time general clerical experience
* Must pass skills assessment at the basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

* Preferred: some college education
