Your Role With Us:With limited supervision, performs a variety of minor and complex repairs, installations, and modifications to hospital equipment and buildings.Completes assigned maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and hospital standards. Performs watch standing activities on physical building and hospital equipment.Responds to and resolves emergency situations on systems and equipment. Maintains repair and preventative maintenance history by accurately documenting maintenance and operational records in electronic maintenance management system.Communicates accurate and pertinent information regarding maintenance requests to customers, co-workers and leadership in a timely manner; Monitors and orders facilities maintenance supplies as needed.Participates in department committees and decision-making activities; Assists in training as requested. Must be knowledgeable in the safe and proper use and operation of general maintenance equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Must have strong mechanical skills and dexterity.Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics as required; Must be self-motivated and able to work independently; Must have good interpersonal communication skills.Ability to read operation and maintenance manuals; Must be able to write legibly; Must be able to update work orders on computerized maintenance program, including entering hours worked and supplies used.
