DESCRIPTION OF WORK

With our team, your primary job function will be to service the Commission's PC and network needs in Harrisburg and the Southeastern part of the state. Your secondary job function will be to support the rest of the agency's regional offices and game lands which may include travel to remote user locations and other regional offices. In this role you will assemble, deliver, install, and configure computer equipment and network peripherals. Our team will rely on you to effectively troubleshoot and fix end-user issues; collaborate with the appropriate vendor, business partner, or delivery center to resolve support calls and tickets; and communicate technical information to technical and non-technical staff both verbally and in writing. Along completing projects assigned by a supervisor, our ideal candidate will independently identify and complete tasks which are critical to the operation of the network, as well as take the initiative to test, document, and implement new ideas, methods, or process that will improve the network or its operations. You will also have the opportunity to help ensure our department's IT training materials are up to date and accurate with appropriate information provided to the new cadets, end-users, and technical staff. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week, after successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
