Requisition Summary

Kenworth Division of PACCARis looking for a highly motivatedstudent who is interested in gaining professional experience in anindustry-leading manufacturing companyto join ourService Platforms group.

Internships include unique learning opportunities such as:

Internships are scheduled to begin in May or June 2025

Job Functions / Responsibilities

In this role, the Analyst intern will work in three different Service Platforms teams: Service Management, Service Bulletins and Service Manuals. To support dealer and customer facing publications, the intern will perform a combination of the following functions:

1) Service Management Analyst

  • Gather information, analyze data, and assist in special projects.
  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to various stakeholders.
  • Work with product managers and business teams to gather requirements, data context and foster data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Create data visualization/reports.

2) Service Bulletins Analyst

  • Review bulletins for obsoleting and archiving.
  • Reorganize bulletin writing guides to improve training/reference materials.
  • Create data visualization/reports.

3) Service Manuals Analyst

  • Review published service literature to enhance coverage for truck options.
  • Review and update links to supplier service manuals.
  • Assign metadata to manuals to make them searchable and chassis specific.
  • Create data visualization/reports.

4) Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Competencies

  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with data analytics, data modeling, data management, and data reporting and visualization (Tableau, Power BI or similar tools)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Develop mentoring relationships with experienced professionals.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience with data analytics, data modeling, data management, and data reporting and visualization (Tableau, Power BI or similar tools)
  • General knowledge of automotive systems/components
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, including the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Data Analyst, Engineering, Business, or other applicable areas of study) in process,in junior or senior standing preferred

The salary range for internship positions is $25 an hour for undergraduate students and $30 an hour for graduate students.
