JOB SUMMARY: Lead product development for Innovation and Renovation projects in our Frozen Meals category to deliver innovative and competitive products and processes, on time, with agreed quality to the business. As a Senior Product Development Specialist, you will use your high level of culinary competence, deep technical understanding, and scientific knowledge along with strong leadership and communication & presentation skills to deliver innovative products and new technologies to drive the future of Nestle Meals business. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * High level of culinary competence, deep technical understanding and scientific knowledge of product and process, and ability to formulate and develop delicious meal and snacking solutions * Product and process mastership via effective & efficient deployment of new processing technologies, creatively leveraging and adapting existing technologies from bench to full industrial scale Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Product developer, Technical Knowledge * Leverage solid product development skills and creativity to assess technology/ingredients. * Leverage consumer insights and interpret consumer data to drive innovation, new platforms and optimize products to delight our consumers * Demonstrate scientific knowledge and expertise of Meals technologies and manufacturing processes for sauce, pasta, vegetable, meat and assembly * Proven examples of an innovation and entrepreneurial mindset. The ability to evaluate new technologies to impact new products, improved products or processes, and recognize synergy across the group to effectively utilize technology resources * Leverage analytical testing, statistics, sensory testing in the development of new product * Connect and consult with ingredient suppliers and equipment vendors, propose new materials/processes/equipment that deliver new benefits and in line with project objectives. * Planning and coordinating pilot plant, manufacturing plant tests, scaling up from lab to pilot plant to final industrial scale. * Network with R&D specialists within Nestle, partner with various businesses, to leverage relevant science and technology to support project progress. * Understand the product category, consumer insights, stay updated on competitors' activities both commercial and technical. JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge): * Master's Degree or PhD. in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Agriculture Chemistry. * Minimum 5 years of food industry experience in product development, research and development role. * Proven product development and organizational skills SKILLS: * Demonstrate ability to lead product development for multiple and complex projects in cross-functional environment, while delivering significant business results * Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Flexible and devoted team player * Ability to travel up to 20% 332376 #LI-EW1 It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
